The concept behind Sweet and Sour was to create a bench or stool out of wood and textile for the 2014 Cabinet Makers Autumn exhibition ‘’Textile’’. The inspiration was taken from antlers as the wood construction mimics the natural form. The fur was then woven over the frame of the seat. Whereas, the Sour bench was shaped by hand, with the branches curving naturally, the Sweet bench was meant for mass production while maintaining the integrity of the design. Machined wooden legs and dowels replaced the natural branches.
